Course reopening on Saturday

Course reopening on Saturday

The course conditions have improved greatly this week, so much so that we feel the course can now be opened on Saturday.

It is still very wet and slippery in places so please be very careful. Bunkers are of course still out of play.

As advised the Bothy will remain shut in the meantime.

Cards for winter league will be available in the plastic box at the bothy door but as requested please ensure you use hand sanitiser before and after touching the box.

On completion of play your cards should be placed in the post box and will be processed in the usual way and results posted on the website. We will operate on the basis of the player’s honesty in that if they intend at the outset to play in the Winter League then a card must be submitted at the end whether it is a no return or not.

As you will be aware members credit bar balances have now been transferred to their golf accounts but please be aware that under GDPR regulations we are not allowed to make a list of balances available for public viewing. We will endeavour to email any members who are at or over their limit. We would prefer not to handle cash and cannot offer contactless facilities at present . It would be appreciated if payments could be made by faster payment to Craigie Hill’s bank account code 80 91 28 , account number 00264435 and we would request for ease of administration that a minimum payment of £20 be made.

If you do need to know your balance for any reason or have other queries please email admin@craigiehill.co.uk and we will reply as soon as possible.

Please ensure that you adhere to our local rules which were previously outlined in the Captain’s website message.

The essential points are…..

1. You MUST NOT play if you have tested positive for the coronavirus or are displaying symptoms or are required to self-isolate.

2. Hand sanitiser MUST be carried and used BEFORE and AFTER collecting scorecards from the plastic container outside The Bothy which is a point of multiple contact!

3. Players MUST book a tee-time prior to playing and submit their cards on completion of the round via the blue mail box. (Golf accounts will be monitored for available funds and an email sent to those needing to make a deposit.)

4. Players MUST arrive in the car park no more than 20 minutes prior to their tee off time.

5. Players MUST NOT congregate outside The Bothy in numbers exceeding the 2 separate households rule; arriving there no more than 5 minutes prior to teeing off.

6. Minimum 2 metre distancing MUST be maintained at all times.

Failure to abide by these instructions is likely to result in further closure of the golf course.
